This bible of vegetarian extremism has only one redeeming factor that I can see — “Weird Al” Yankovic credits it with changing his life. Other than that, don’t waste your time.

I went total vegan the day I started the book and have never waivered. I have never felt so healthy in my life. I will share this book with anyone who will take it. Read it, share it and share it some more!

A whiny liberal explains that animals are, well, just too cute to exploit for food. This book got annoying quickly. There are many good arguments against the meat industry, but John Robbins only argument is that they are unneccessarily cruel to the animals, who are naturally kind, intelligent, gentle creatures. This is a very naive viewpoint, in my opinion. Animals can be cruel and exploit other animals, and business doesn’t give a damn about human life either.

This book was highly recommended by people from my biology class… said it changed their view on things. i couldn’t get past page 3. the writing style is so obviously biased and unorganized that someone who may agree with mr. robbin’s point of view might be turned off. i dont know. maybe this is not a fair review. i really just couldn’t get past page 3. i really did try my best but it was much too tedious.

John Robbins exaggerates. He takes a most unusual situation and makes it appear to be the usual. John Robbins is not a credible writer in my opinion.
